There’s nothing as sweet as a newborn baby and nothing changes quite as quickly either! In your newborn session we’ll capture the magic of your new family member. There will be lots of baby snuggles with Mum and Dad, sibling love, and all the details too.

Sessions are candid, real and relaxed. My approach is simple, capture the real stuff: scraped knees, giggles and bear hugs. I base my session on you guys and let your family take the lead.
FAQ
When is the best time to book in my session?
As soon as you decide it's something you want to invest in, please get in touch. I have limited availability and some months do sell out quite quickly. Maternity and newborn sessions are time sensitive so the more time we have to plan it, the better. For your newborn session, I will book in your due date and once you let me know baby has arrived, together we will work out a day and time for your session.
Maternity is best booked for around 32-36 weeks.
Newborn is best booked within 2 weeks of baby's arrival.
My kids won't do what is asked, they're a bit unpredictable?
Theres absolutely no expectations on kids to 'be on their best behaviour' because lets face it, all types of behaviours are usual for adults let alone children. So instead, try to get rid of any expectations before your session and instead focus on connecting with them and your family. Make it fun, snuggly, full of belly laughs and quiet moments and let me capture that because I can assure you that these photos will mean the world to you in years to come far outweighing the cheesy fake smiles.
What should we wear?
My most commonly asked question! I have put together a wardrobe guide for you to take a look at but simply put, whatever makes you feel great! Whether that be a flowy dress or jeans and a singlet, your comfort and confidence matters! Coordinate your family with you and your outfit and don't be too matchy (no need for everyone in white shirts and blue jeans).
What happens if one of us is ill or the weather is wet and windy?
These things do happen! Especially over the past 2 years however there are options here. We can postpone and reschedule or if it's the weather we can change locations. I have a studio in Port Kembla that we can head to or your home often creates a really intimate backdrop for sessions. If the weather is looking terrible, I try not to leave it too late to discuss postponing with you so that you can plan around it without the wasted effort of getting a whole family ready however we can discuss it together and work out a plan on the day if need be.
Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
Travel within the Illawarra region, Southern Highlands, Shaolhaven & Southern Sydney are all included in the pricing quoted pricing. For anything beyond these areas, get in touch and I will quote you my travel fee.
Where will our session be?
You have options here and its a great opportunity to have a think about the type of portraits you love, what you might do with them (frame them for the wall, print albums or gift to family etc.) That will help guide the type of session you are after. I routinely offer sessions in my Port Kembla Studio, a local beach or in your home. However I'm totally open to suggestions and happy to discuss.
I would love an in-home session but I don't have a 'show home' type house?
Very few of us do, especially with kids and/or a newborn added to the mix. Don't over think it. I will generally use the main bedroom, nursery or children's room if there is one as well as a pretty spot for beautiful light such as a hallway, big window, front entrance or a spot in your garden. So no need to scrub bathrooms and fold laundry your best friend is an empty washing basket to thrown any clutter in that's sitting around on bedside tables or the floor and stick it out of view, simple!
How long does it take to recieve the photos after the session and how will those be delivered?
I ask for a month to deliver your final gallery, but generally you can expect to have your full gallery delivered via online link within 2 weeks of your session.
We want to include our dog into the photos, is that okay?
Absolutely! Your session is for your whole family. Dogs, Grandparents, Best Friend. All welcome.
